Nature first

Nature First!
Unavoidably. Nature can exist without man, but man can cannot exist without nature. This is obvious, of course, essentially self-explaining and does not need any further discussion, except for its actual implementation, which is another chapter though.

Our basic point of view is that, as observed by a wise dutch saying, it does not make much sense to mop the floor while the tap is open, mopping being the efforts to save or recover the environment that are nothing compared to the scale in which it is being damaged or destroyed by Large Industry, which of course is the tap. This does not at all mean that the efforts are not worthy, because they definitely are, specially in creating awareness, but that here we prefer to focus on closing that tap. May it be clear that defense and recovery of nature is always the main background reason for all successive proposals by the Independency Project and that we consider that ecologic imporovement also always implies an improvement of human rights as a direct or indirect consequence of it.

However, as long as Large Scale Corruption exists, and therefore RULES in the world (stimulated by the existence of Treasure Islands), the Corporations and BIG Industry, as mayor causes of the destruction of nature and planet, thanks to their agressive lobbies and briberies, will always be able to get away with illegal deforstation, overfishing, overcontaminating, overexploitation and all other ecological crimes.

So, for closing that tap of environmental problems, it is necessary that Big Industry cannot engage in its usual bribery and other corruptions anymore, and that, at it's turn can be stopped by fully bringing down all Treasure Islands (AKA Bank Secrecy, Offshore "banking" or Tax Havens)

In fact, ALL NGOs, Foundations, Movements and Webs in defense of nature should include the DEMAND to abolish Bank Secrecy and dismantle all Offshore "banks" in their missions, protests, declarations and websites!

This is an open suggestion to:

  1. Greenpeace - Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action.
  2. WWF (World Wide Fund) - WWF World Wide Fund's mission is to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature.
  3. IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature)
    Red List of Threatened Species
IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, helps the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges.
